Requirements
The Custom Home category is defined as a one-of-a-kind residence located outside the boundaries of the greenbelt. The Custom Urban Home category applies to unique custom homes situated within an urban neighbourhood of the City of Ottawa, specifically inside the greenbelt boundary. Click here for a map. If a finished basement is an included feature in the home's design, it must be included in the calculation of the overall square footage. This category also includes homes built on spec for non-custom clients.
Contemporary and traditional design options have been introduced for this category. While entrants may select the category that best reflects their project, the judging panel reserves the right to reclassify entries at their discretion.
