Requirements

This category is defined as any space or home designed to incorporate features which may be accommodating, accessible, inclusive, or focused on occupant safety. For all of life's changes, this category will honour designs which have safety, security, ease of use, comfort, accessibility, or occupant physical or mental health in mind. It may include homes or spaces with accessibility features such as ramps, wide hallways, roll-in showers, chair lifts, etc, or it may include homes or spaces with integrated inclusivity or safety features, allowing homeowners to live safely and comfortably, regardless of age, ability, size, or circumstance.

Entry Requirements

Digital Photos

  • 1 photograph of your main project image. This photo will be used for all awards/media purposes.
  • 6 - 12 additional photos of the house features which may be accommodating, accessible, inclusive, or focused on occupant safety.
  • Please note that photos should be 300 dpi resolution and may be resized to facilitate loading for judges. Photos should be a maximum of 10 megabytes.
  • Each photo should be given a unique name or number for identification purposes.

PDF of the site plan/floor plan - 
Any drawings and floor plans submitted MUST include the following:
•Overall room area and dimensions must be shown.
•Key components must be identified.
Keep in mind that proper line weights and presentation style drawings are encouraged. 3D views and colour renderings are permitted to enhance the intent of the design.
